This workshop utilises the Hermann Brain Dominance Instrument (HBDI) assessment tool to explore individual thinking preferences and understand thinking preferences of the team to build cohesiveness, enhance morale and improve performance.
HBDI provides invaluable insights and analysis into a multitude of factors such as, the way different people approach work, tackle problems, cooperate and work with colleagues and significantly, what they personally value and prioritise in their thinking. The acumen and understanding provided by HBDI profiles and the assessment system is an invaluable and powerful mechanism to build the capability and strengthen the effectiveness of individuals, working groups and teams, alike.
What is HBDI?
The Herrmann Brain Dominance Instrument was developed by Ned Herrmann over 30 years ago. Since then it has become the world’s leading thinking styles assessment tool, and is the foundation of Whole Brain Technology®.
Over two-million people worldwide have undergone HBDI® analysis to better understand the way they think, and improve both their professional and personal lives. It is used by over one third of all Fortune 100 companies.
The HBDI uses 120 questions (completed online) to measure your preference in each of four distinct ways of thinking – emotional, analytical, structural and strategic – under normal conditions, as well as where your thinking ‘goes’ under stress.
The workshop is practical, relevant and fun with a philosophy of applying the team and individual learning in the real world of your specific context and environment. It will draw on the individual HBDI profiles of participants – and the associated data and analysis – which are completed online prior to the workshop. This approach maximises the outcomes that can be achieved in the workshop and help ensure the assessment system – and the participants understanding of it – supports and promotes the sustainable, longer-term implementation of improvements and enhancements.
Individual participants will receive an HBDI ‘kit’, comprising: Personal Profile Overlay (transparency); Data summary sheets; ‘Understanding the Herrmann Whole Brain Model’ booklet.
Team benefits of the workshop are to:
– Better understand the thinking preferences of individuals and each other to build and enhance strengths and performance
– Adapt and enhance individual working approaches
– Promote and support teams, HR and working group selections
– Develop and commit to strategies to address areas of improvement in the team
– Achieve sustainable growth and performance as a team.
